Kamakura Namerigawa
昨日は滑川に蛍がよく飛んだ。
河原の木々にここ数年手を入れてないので
川面と枝葉の間に飛び交う蛍光は見え隠れ。
だがそのもどかしさが蛍鑑賞には似つかわしい。
流石に歌いはしないが「ほ〜たる来い」と念じて闇に目を凝らす。
飛び去っていく鳥にはなかなか目は届かないが
空中に浮遊する蛍やカゲロウなどの羽虫、蝶たちを見ていると
それは虫というだけではなく、魂を持った生物であることを実感する。
私のそばで1箇所にホバリングする小さな羽虫などは、
何か私に話しかけようとしている妖精のような錯覚すら覚える。
餌となるタニシが生息するかどうかに影響することではあるが、
いずれにしても汚染のないそれなりに綺麗な水に蛍は舞う。
それは私たち人間には少々不便なこともあったりするが
やはり健やかに生きるためには欠かせない環境なのだ。
滑川のここ辺りから2kmほど下ると由比ヶ浜に注ぐ。
ここ数年は鮎も遡上するらしい。
いろんな仲間が戻ってくるサンクチュアリ。
古都鎌倉の風水上の青龍、物事発展を司る神。
日暮と共に寝静まった龍を起こさないよう今夜も蛍光が舞う。
