Zushi
その天空の公園へはいくつかのルートがある。
湘南切っての真の高級邸宅街・披露山から、
文豪が命を絶った逗子マリーナを擁する小坪の漁村から、
また都知事を務めた別の文豪の元別荘脇から。
いずれも急傾斜のアプローチだ。
海へ突き出した岬の頂上からは、
東は逗子海岸から続く三浦半島南端まで
西は由比ヶ浜から江ノ島を経て伊豆半島まで、
公園先端の展望ベンチから見渡せる。
息を切らして達した絶景は海面の煌めきで迎えてくれる。
サーモスに入れてきた暖かいアールグレイで一息ついているところに
涼しい顔をした老人が声をかけてきた。
あまりに静かな息遣いなので近づいてきたことにも気がつかなかった。
「今日は幾分暖かくてここに来るのにちょうどいいですね」
「ええ、初めて来てみたら思いのほか人もいなくて静かですね」
